There is another virus going around. This virus is called Bagle (it has been around
before) and comes in an attachment. The attachment will have a ".ZIP"
extension. For example you may receive an attachment called "message.zip". Do
not click on or open these attachments.
The subject of the message may be one of the following:
- E-mail account security warning.
- Notify about using the e-mail account.
- Warning about your e-mail account.
- Important notify about your e-mail account.
- Email account utilization warning.
- Notify about your e-mail account utilization.
- E-mail account disabling warning.
The message(s) will likely appear to come from someone you know. It may even
appear to be addressed to staff at Mount A. If you receive a message that you
suspect contains the virus, simply delete it. Do not open any attachment unless
you know what it is and are expecting it. The body of the message should
describe the attachment.
McAfee has released updated .DAT files that will detect and clean the virus.
Our servers are now updated and will block the virus. Some may messages
containing the virus may have been delivered before we received the updates.
